Lofthouse 2000 Brass Band has been awarded £2000 grant from the Community Development Fund, a fund which helps fund community projects in some of the most deprived areas of the country.
The grant will help provide training to a group of young people in the Lofthouse area in modern studio recording techniques using up to date equipment, giving the necessary experience when seeking
employment in that area.
This will help the organisation continue to be proactive within the community and will hopefully give the young people a way into employment.
The classes will run by James Beecham, Dynamic Mobile Recordings on a Monday evening from 7.30pm and run for 6 weeks covering a range of topics and leading to the recording a CD of Lofthouse Brass Band.
The numbers available are limited so will be available on a first come basis, so anyone interested should contact the band. We are thankful to the Community Development Fund for the grant and the opportunities this will give young people in the Lofthouse area
Anyone interested in a place on the initial class should contact the band on 07876 800929 or through the band website www.lofthousebrassband.org.uk.
