~~Newquay Band will be holding an Open Day at the Griffin on Saturday 15th March from 10am till 2pm to launch its new Training Band.
MD Chris Wooding is very keen to form a junior or learners’ band and would welcome any young people who are already playing, or would like to start, to come along that day to find out more. All ages and abilities welcome, including adults. The group will practise on a Monday from 6pm till 7pm, before the senior band rehearsal at 7.30pm. There will be no charge for tuition and free loan of instruments is available too.
This will be an opportunity to meet the Band with the chance to try out a brass instrument. Members of the senior band will be on hand to demonstrate and assist and there will be a range of instruments to try.
