On Saturday 17th October, Cornwall Brass Band Association held their Diamond Jubilee Annual Championships at the Hall For Cornwall. There were fifteen bands performing, of which Indian Queens Band were one. Two performances of a hymn and a test piece were needed to be played, and Queens won both of them for the Ungraded section. These two trophies added to the three they won at the how far the band have come over their first year with Musical Director Mark Arnold at the helm. The Senior band now has recently seen former member Tim Roberts back on front row cornet, with three new members join. Joanna Gunningham on second trombone, Emma Roberts on back row cornet and Caitlin Vercoe on euphonium. The band would still welcome new faces, and recently have had an influx of new members to their Training and Beginners bands. The band is now looking forward to the festive season and their calendar is filling fast.
