More news from SBBA

The Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) is pleased to announce that the new website for the European Festival of Brass 2014 has now been launched, offering a wealth of information about the forthcoming celebration of brass music across the country. The website can be viewed at www.EuropeanFestivalofBrass2014.com or www.efob2014.com and is a valuable point of reference for everything relating to the festival.

Clair Tomalin, Press & Publicity Officer for SBBA, who announced the launch of the new site at SBBA’s recent Annual Conference, commented: “Apart from the more striking design and easier inter-related navigation, the new site offers visitors a far wider variety of information, an interactive calendar and location map, lots of updated information regarding the festival arrangements across Scotland and the 2014 European Brass Band Championship series of events being held in Perth. The new website is a welcome addition to our collection of information channels and will hopefully engage online visitors across the world – encouraging them to come and enjoy the largest festival of its kind in Europe.”

Clair continued “As with all online promotional and information outlets, the website will continue to develop and evolve as more information becomes available, including information for participants in the brass band championships, solo competition and youth brass band contest. This continual development is also particularly important in supporting the growth of the festival’s community progamme events which will take place across Scotland, involving all of the country’s brass bands and ensembles and engaging residents and visitors to the local communities. By providing this central information point about all the festival’s events, we aim to offer residents and visitors to Scotland easy access to information on performances which will take place in or close to their preferred area. This also ties in well with the additional promotional work that is taking place in conjunction with VisitScotland, Homecoming Scotland 2014 and other similar national organisations.”
