More news from Helston Town Band

Helston Town Band have announced the appointment of Ian Edwards as the first Musical Director of it's New Concert Band

The band has been formed as an offshoot of Helston Town Band with their main purpose to give local players who do not want full time commitment the opportunity to be part of the organisation. The concert band will rehearse once a week on Thursday evenings.

The Town Band's Musical Director Derek Johnston said " Since taking over the Senior Band it just made sense to bring all of the small groups together, and it seems to be working as the band already have some 24 members but still looking for more"

"The band are looking forward to Ian taking the band, and look forward to exciting times."
