Dates Announced for 2014 Summer Courses for the National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland

The Scottish Brass Band Association, parent body of The National Youth Brass Band of Scotland, are pleased to confirm the dates for 2014 Summer Courses for the National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland. The premier band of the organization, NYBBS (for players aged 16-22 who complete a successful audition) will meet on Sunday 27th July and their course will run until Sunday 3rd August, whilst The National Youth Reserve Brass Band of Scotland (for all players aged 14-22, no entry audition required) and The National Children’s Brass Band of Scotland (for all players aged 9-13, no entry audition required) will meet a day later on Monday 28th July with their courses also concluding on Sunday 3rd August.
Venue details are just being finalised and information on these, together with course application forms will be widely circulated, including the NYBBS and SBBA websites (www.nybbs.co.uk/ www.sbba.org.uk) as soon as the details are available.
SBBA and the NYBBS organization look forward to welcoming all young brass and percussion musicians to come and enjoy the range of courses which will help to develop their playing and musicianship skills, make new like-minded friends, experience a variety of extra activities and initiatives, learn and develop a range of new music and present a showcase of their achievements at an end of course concert.
