After a successful contest in 2013 the Friends of Beaumont Park Committee are pleased to announce the date for this years contest.
The contest will take place in the Bandstand in Beaumont Park on Sunday 7th September 2014 at 2.00pm. The committee have this year increased the prize money to include a Hymn Tune prize.
The contest is open to all bands with the following prize money on offer:
1st Prize £400
2nd Prize £200
3rd Prize £100
Best 3rd/4th Section (not in the main prizes) £100
Best Youth/Junior Band £75
Best Hymn Tune
1st £100
2nd £50
Deportment Prize £75
Bands will play a short March/Piece where they will be judged on deportment, then play 3 verses of a chosen Hymn Tune and a Contest March in the Bandstand.
There is an Entry fee of £20 and all cheques made payable to FOBP (Friends of Beaumont Park).

The contest will be pre-drawn nearer the date giving each band an approximate playing time. Refreshments will be available throughout the day please help us make this another successful event.
