Ogmore Valley Silver Band appoint new Musical Director

Ogmore Valley Silver Band have recently appointed a new Musical Director, Danny Stone.
Danny Stone read Music at the University of Surrey, where he studied Trumpet with Alistair Mackie and conducting with Nicholas Conran. After graduation, his music teaching career took him from Wales to London to Qatar and back again. As a player, Danny has played with Aveley and Newham, Friary, Tongwynlais Temperance and Pontardulais Town Band. Danny has a history of association with the Ogmore Valley Silver Band and looks forward to building a new chapter in the successes of the group.
The Band had previously been conducted by Miss Alice Jones, enjoying many successes in the 4th section, 3rd section, Regional Championships and the National Eisteddfod. The Band would like to sincerely thank Alice for her hard work and dedication to the band over the past 10 years and wish her well in her future ventures.

Band rehearsals take place every Wednesday 7-9pm and every Sunday 6-8pm at the bandroom in Ogmore Vale near Bridgend.
