More news from Aveley and Newham Band
Aveley & Newham have announced the appointment of Susan White as co-principal trombone, working with Chris Augustine. For many years Susan has been solo trombone of the Staines Band and is regarded as one of the finest trombone players in the South East.
Additionally Mike West has been formally appointed to the 2nd Trombone seat. Having initially joined as a solo cornet player Mike is currently in the middle of a performance degree on Trombone and has recently depped in the 1st baritone chair for us. We are thrilled to have such a strong trombone section, together with Izzy and Bob.
Rebekah Ransom has also joined Aveley & Newham on the flugel horn seat. Bex returns to the area having spent 4 years studying at Birmingham Conservatoire with Ian Porthouse and Richard Marshall and playing Repiano with Sovereign Brass.
