Wolverton Town Band kicks off Christmas

Wolverton Town Band began its season of events to bring some festive cheer to local people in the run-up to Christmas with a performance at Dobbies Garden Centre on Sunday 22 November. The band got shoppers in the Christmas spirit with all the usual festive favourites at a session between 12:30 and 3pm.

Between now and Christmas, the band has a full schedule of seasonal events:

• Saturday 5 December. Wolverton Lantern Parade. This year, the band will be playing in The Square from 4:45pm on.
• Saturday 12 December. Carols at Waitrose supermarket, Oakgrove. The band will be providing some Christmas spirit for local shoppers at Waitrose, Oakgrove. Times to be confirmed.
• Saturday 12 December. Christmas Brass Concert. Lots of everyone’s festive favourites in the beautiful surroundings of St George's Church, St George's Way, Wolverton. FREE ADMISSION. 6:30pm on. Interval refreshments and raffle.
• Playing Christmas music in Wolverton. As usual, during a number of evenings in December, the band will be playing carols to local residents door-to-door around the streets of Wolverton between 7 and 9pm:

Thursdays 3, 10 and 17 December.

Mondays 14 and 21 December.

• Sunday 13 December. Carols in Wolverton Community Orchard.
• Sunday 20 December. Carols at Tesco supermarket, Wolverton. Once again, the band will be providing some Christmas spirit for local shoppers at Tesco, Wolverton. 11am on.
• Thursday 24 December. Carols round the Christmas tree. As is tradition, the band’s final performance of the year will be round the Christmas tree in The Square, Wolverton. 3pm on.
