September Launch for the North West Youth Brass Band

Leyland Band, Blackpool Music Education Hub and their partners The National Association of Brass Band Conductors and Yamaha are delighted to announce the formation of a new, exciting youth band.

The North West Youth Brass Band (NWYBB) will be launched in September 2014 “to provide inspirational support and unique opportunities for exceptionally gifted young brass and percussion instrumentalists in order to support their personal aspirations and, to nurture the next generation of high quality professional musicians”. (Mission Statement).

Applicants wishing to join this exciting new youth band will need to be at least equivalent to Grade 5 and, between the ages of 11 and 21. Auditions will take place on Sunday 14th September at Blackpool Music Centre, Cherry Tree Road, Blackpool, FY4 4PH.
