The experienced Kevin Holdgate, trombonist with the James Shepherd Versatile Brass has agreed to step in at short notice to direct Lofthouse 2000 Brass at the Yorkshire Regional Championships in Bradford in March.
A spokesperson told us: "With MD Andrew Whitaker scheduled for an operation in February Kevin kindly agreed to step in and help the band for the contest. We obviously wish Andrew a speedy recovering and we would like to publicly thank Kevin for his help and assistance."
