Betteshanger Colliery Welfare Band present their first concert of the summer season at Deal Bandstand on Sunday 4th May. We have a fun packed afternoon of entertainment in store for all the family, with a mixture of classics and popular favourites for you to enjoy. We will also be featuring our very own Training Band (The Betteshanger Brass Academy) who will be performing some fun pieces like Meet The Flintstones, music from The Sound Of Music including Tonight & Do-Re-Mi changing the mood slightly to a more serious classical number, Toccata in D Minor.
The Senior Band currently have a vacancy for a first class Euphonium Player and Principal/Front row cornet, position negotiable, and dependant on ability and experience. We will also be losing our BBb Bass player this summer having completed his University course at Christchurch University, if you fancy joining our Bass Section you will be more than welcome.
The band have seen many changes over last couple of years both in administration, and band personnel. Betteshanger have a lot to offer both experienced players and those wanting to take up music for the first time. In both cases, we can assure you a very warm welcome, and a fun friendly environment to play in. To find out more about the bands, please visit our website for more information. www.betteshanger.org.
