Wolverton Town Bands gets Christmas off to a festive start

Wolverton Town Band began its festive activities with two performances at John Lewis over the weekend of 23 and 24 November. The band played Christmas carols to shoppers in the city’s department store in Milton Keynes, on both the Saturday and Sunday.
The band has lots more events planned in the run-up to Christmas, to bring some festive cheer to local people:
Saturday 7 December. Wolverton Lantern Parade
The band will be participating in the annual Wolverton Lantern Parade: 3:30pm – 5:45pm.
Sunday 8 December. Christmas music outside Tesco
The band will be providing some Christmas cheer for local shoppers outside Tesco, Wolverton: 11am – 3pm.
Monday 9 December. Christmas music outside Tesco
The band will be back outside Tesco once again, providing a second session of Christmas cheer for local shoppers: 7 - 9pm.
Wednesday 11 December. The Mathiesen Centre, Mathiesen Road, Bradville
Christmas music at a community social club. 7:30 – 8pm.
Playing carols to local residents round the streets of Wolverton

The band will be back outside Tesco once again providing a third session of Christmas cheer for local shoppers: 11am – 2/3pm.
Sunday 22nd December. Cambridge Street party, Wolverton
The band will be playing Christmas music at the Cambridge Street party for 45 minutes -1 hour. Time (after 15:30) to be confirmed.
Tuesday 24 December (Christmas Eve). Playing round the Christmas tree
As is tradition, the band will be finishing the year round the Christmas tree in The Square, Wolverton, during the afternoon (times to be confirmed).
Wolverton Town Band is interested in hearing from anyone who would like to play a brass instrument, whether they're a learner or someone with lots of experience. The band has a long and proud history going back over 100 years. Today, it is a friendly group of players who love playing music and want to keep the brass band tradition alive in Wolverton.
