~~Reports & Results:

The 4th Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band Solo, Duet and Quartet contest was held in the heart of Chesterfield on Saturday 13th June at Parkside Community School.

This year saw the contest move to a larger venue that offered a lot more access and warm up areas.

The adjudicator for the day was the experienced John Davis who commented that throughout the day he heard some great playing from the youngest to the oldest and thanked all players and supporters who came and listened.

Event organiser Ian Knapton commented “ this year we have moved venues and we would like to thank Parkside community school and their staff and our sponsor Raw Brewery for making this event happen. Also we would like to thank all entries and supporters for coming and supporting this event.  We were down on numbers from previous years but we only booked the date in February so we were expecting this. But next years event has already been booked so we hope to see you all on Saturday 11th June at Parkside Community school.”
