Following the recent AGM, Soo Rose-Cook has left the role of secretary at Sale Brass. Soo’s tireless commitment to the band has been greatly appreciated, though the band members all agree that she now deserves a bit of a rest! Soo remains on the repiano seat.
Rob Greaves, who joined the band last year on cornet, has taken over as band secretary. Anyone wishing to contact the band should add rgreaves007@hotmail.co.uk to their email address book.
It is with regret that Sale Brass is announcing the departure of Steve Ash from the soprano cornet seat. The band would like to thank Steve for 9 years of service to the band, including stints as concert secretary and property manager. MD Josh Hughes says, “I wish Steve all the best for the future and hope to see him again soon in the audience at one of our concerts.”
The band is now on the lookout for a soprano player to join the ranks on Monday and Thursday evenings. Applications can be made in confidence to jhughes92@outlook.com.
