With one of the countries most well established youth development programmes that has been the starting point for several professional brass musicians now playing in orchestras and bands around the world, we are proud to announce further progression for our young brass players.

Katie and Joshua have now progressed to the town band joining the cornet section.

Milena has also progressed to the town band 2nd baritone seat where she joins her Youth Band euphonium colleague Jenna Congdon who recently won the best player award in the youth section at bugle contest.

David Nicholson, MD commented ‘I’m proud to be part of an organisation with such a successful and cohesive youth policy ensuring a great future for the band and creating an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere whilst making music to a high standard’.

Katie, Joshua and Milena joined the band in time for their recent last night of the proms concert at Charlestown Regatta and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
