More news from Flixton Brass Band
After just over two years as musical director of Flixton Band, Jason Smith has decided to end his tenure.
During his time with Flixton, Jason has had great success at the annual Hymn and March contests in Morley and Brighouse, where he led the band to first places at both contests. He has also had some successes at the annual Whit Friday contests.
Under Jason’s leadership, the Flixton Band has given some very entertaining concerts, including the popular themed concerts, which have been enjoyed by our eclectic audiences.
The band would like to say a big thank you to Jason for all his hard work and inspiration and wish him every success for the future.
The band will be inviting applications for the position of MD and auditions will take place after the Area contest on Sun 26th February.
