To an Open Rehearsal on Saturday 26th March at Truro High School for Girls.
Come and observe the CYBB in action from 2pm under the Baton of Guest Conductor Tom Davoren. There is also a chance to meet the Local Conductors and look around the School and Accommodation where the twice yearly Residential Courses are held. Auditions will be held at the same time for Musicians who wish to join the Band for the 2016/2017 Season starting in September. With up to six monthly rehearsals and two 4 day Residential Courses from September until Easter each year there is plenty of opportunity to make new friends and enjoy the benefit of working with the local Tutors as well as National Guest Conductors and Soloists. These will be, at Christmas 2016, Ian Porthouse and at Easter 2017, Paul Holland.
The chance to work closely with the best known and talented musicians from the brass band world can only improve the all round musicianship of the members, to the benefit of their Parent Bands as well as their own development.
Young brass and percussion players who are interested in joining the seventy strong Band can find all the details of membership and the simple Audition on The Cornwall Youth Brass Band Web Site at,
