More news from City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Band

City of Cardiff Brass Bands have annouced the recruitment of two talented conductors to join their impressive set up.

Robin Hackett will take over the conducting duties at M2 along with Jake Pritchard who will be conducting the newly formed M5, Melingriffith’s community band that launched only last week.

Robin has been working solidly with Newport Borough Band and Jake is also leading Cwmbran Brass.

M1’s MD Gareth Ritter expressed his delight at the appointments: “Robin and Jake are two of the brightest young conductors around. With Carol Flanary-Davies taking M3 and Gareth Jones M4, we have a dream team of energetic conductors to take this organisation forward.”
