Brass bands will be taking centre stage at the Amphitheatre in South Shields during the South Tyneside Summer Festival 2013 as more than a dozen brass bands will be performing for the South Tyneside Summer Festival 2013.
The band performances will run from 2pm to 4pm each Sunday during June and August and from 3pm to 5pm each Sunday during July.
In June Bear Park and Esh Colliery Band, Westoe Brass Band, the South Tyneside Senior Wind Band and the People’s Mission Silver Band will perform.
July will see NE Concert Band, Houghton Area Youth Band, Craghead Colliery Band and Murton Colliery Band take the stage with Houghton Band and Durham Constabulary Band rounding the Festival off in August.
Outside of brass bands the festival is headlined by pop icon Rick Astley, 90s group Toploader and chart-topping boy band Blue.
